What’s the difference between coaching and therapy?
Therapy is healing past traumas. Coaching is about moving forward.
What is Coaching?
- Coaching is a forward-moving process that starts from the present moment guiding and supporting a person’s growth internally and/or externally in the direction they want to go.
- Coaching develops confidence by discovering a person’s core values and aligning them with their goals
- Coaching supports a person in becoming WHO they want to be.
- Coaching increases awareness on every level and explores choices by widening a person’s scope, which leads to change.
- Coaching unlocks a person’s potential in every area of life.
"Her compassion and understanding made me feel safe to explore my fears and she was scary good at helping me build up the confidence I needed to swim through all the shit I had piled up around me. I highly recommend Susan to anyone feeling like life is happening to them. She will set you free!"
Every top athlete has a coach which supports developing their full potential.
Recreational to professional athletes have coaches to support them in being their best. In the last decade, coaching has become applicable in every area including business, leadership, parenting, health & fitness, wellness, marriage, relationships, and life!
Coaching is 100% confidential and very explorative. Coaching is not a one size fits all, it’s tailored to each individual’s energy, personality, and their desired outcome. Every person has their own journey it’s an honor to work with.
Therapy – is different than coaching. Therapy is done from a licensed professional whereas coaching is not licensed but many people are certified/trained in the arena of coaching. Therapy tends to stay in a person’s past and help them understand why they are the way they are. Therapy also may diagnose individuals where coaching does not do so.
All private coaching begins with a call to discover where you’re at right now and how I might best help you:
